Set to the sturdy tune KINGSFOLD, this is a useful setting of a fresh, original text by the composer. Four verses (equip us, free us, inspire us, and a final doxology). Mostly in unison, with both an SATB and an SAB version provided for the third verse, which is optionally a cappella. The final verse is melody with descanting sopranos. The accompaniment works quite well as/is for either piano or organ. Appropriate for Lent, or any service with a commitment/discipleship component.
