What student doesn't love to "show off" just a little every now and then? And what better way to do it than with a solo titled Flashy Fingers? Accessible for the early intermediate (although intermediate students will enjoy it, too), this C major piece features a toccata-like style and sound. In A-B-A form, the B section is syncopated and uses the harmonic interval of a sixth in the right-hand melody. The return of the A section leads to a descending scale passage and surprise chords at the end.
