No harpist in the 20th Century has had a more significant impact on development of the instrument than Carlos Salzedo (1885-1961). Famed as a player and teacher, he was also a composer of note whose works reflect his French origins and great support for contemporary musical developments in the 1920s and 1930s. This collection contains many of the arrangements he published with Carl Fischer (folk songs and music by Gluck, Handel, Haydn, Brahms, and Anton Rubenstein) as well as his own delightful Five Preludes. This is a collection all harpists will want to own and cherish.
