Cafe-concerts (or caf'conc') were a form of popular entertainment in Paris in mid-nineteenth and early twentieth century. Programs were made of music, dance, opera arias, songs, and circus performances. Among the usual musical fare at a caf' conc' evening was the valse chantee, sentimental and tuneful, usually with racy lyrics. Je te veux was one these valse chantee. These editions offer the original version for high voice and the transposed version for medium-low voice.
