So this is true: We are one body in the Lord. The opening words are proclaimed by the choir and echoed by the organ and brass, and what follows is creative and musically satisfying, but never predictable. The brass is tacet during a short, introspective middle section. The mostly homophonic choral writing and the judicious use of brass allow the text- a unique interpretation of 1 Corinthians 12- to be primary.
