Just recorded by the great Louie Bellson band, this medium Basie swinger is an exciting and powerful chart. The composer’s knack for writing natural feeling and melodic contrapuntal lines, in addition to their interesting use of dynamic changes, makes this chart playable by most high school bands. The fresh approach is so appealing that bands at any level will enjoy performing it.
