Campfire Sketches was inspired by songs of the old west-folk songs that pioneers might have sung while sitting around a campfire. The first movement, "All the Pretty Little Horses," is a lullaby that is perfect for teaching legato playing and phrasing. The second movement, "Cindy," is an up-tempo number in an old west style that gives all sections a chance to sparkle.
