“Tek Kapidan” is a Turkish folk song in which the choir shares a young girl's musings about her boyfriend, who was killed in an accident. She reminisces about their past times together and wishes for the old days when they were together. She says how much more important being with him was than the material things in life. Sopranos and altos alternate solo sections with the tenors and basses in this arrangement.
