Catch A Falling Star was written by Paul Vance (b.1929) and Lee Pockriss (1924-2011) in 1957. It was made famous by the American singer Perry Como (1912-2001) for whom the song was his last ever number 1 hit.The song was also the first record to ever receive a gold certification in the United States.
