Diane Bish's new setting of the much-loved Welsh hymn tune “Hyfrydol” is a welcome addition to the organist's library. The four flexible variations – which include a Schumannesque first variation an incisive Baroque-like variation a lyrical sarabande and a toccata finale – could be played in whole or in part as a concert suite or used for hymn introductions and interludes.
