There are certain to be many church musicians who will welcome Malcolm Archer's new setting of the English text of the Te Deum bearing all the hallmarks of this master of his craft. Scored for mixed voices andorgan or orchestra in turns majestic and lyrical and full of harmonic interest it includes some passages for double chorus which will make it of particular interest to choirs with fuller resources.
