This work was commissioned by the BBC and first performed on 4th October 1999 at Norwich Cathedral by Fretwork and Michael Chance (countertenor). Nipson is scored for a consort of viols (2 treble 2 tenor 1 bass) andcountertenor. The music falls into six sections. Duration: c. 25 minutes. Score and parts available on sale (SOS05469).
