Premiere Etude De Concert in B minor was the first of three works for solo Piano published in 1920 as the composer’s Opus 65. The suite was dedicated to the Ukrainian pianist Alexander Brailowsky who is best remembered for his virtuosic interpretation of Chopin’s complete works. Joseph Jongen (1873-1953) was a Belgian organist and composer. A precocious talent he was admitted to the Liege Conservatory at the age of 7 studying Fugue Piano Composition and Organ. He began writing music at the age of 13 and eventually composed over 200 works though some were later destroyed. His Symphonie Concertante is considered by many to be amongthe greatest works ever written for Organ and Orchestra.
