Maurice Hinson the editor of this book has selected his most favourite of Scarlatti's sonata's for this collection; these works were compiled over a period of thirty years of teaching performing and listening to these great pieces and are suited to the intermediate to moderately advanced pianist. These particular sonatas lend themselves especially well to performance on the modern piano.
