Easy congregational settings-Norman Warren's aim in compiling Psalms for the People is to provide settings that the entire congregation can sing. No cantor or choir is necessary though if the latter is present they may sing in harmony. The melodiesof the chants are simple and easy to remember.Psalms for the People follows the Common Worship Lectionary for Sundays and Principal Feasts. Over 90 psalms and a number of canticles or other biblical psalms areincluded but are restricted to usually 6-8 verses.
