Format : Sheet music Commissioned by the Scottish International Piano Competition as the test piece for the 2007 Competition. Using the phrase I ve turned the page in conversation implies that you ve made a new start and possibly left anold bad habit behind; as in I never used to practise the Piano but now I ve turned the page . I ve Turned The Page... asks the performer to undertake several such drastic transformations within a veryshort space of time. As each page of the score is turned and sometimes in between turns the music s character changes radically. The performer also has to develop rapidly during the five or six minutes it takes to play thispiece.
