Written for the Intermediate level student this piece captures the mysterious and uncertain moods of a storm. From the beginning a melodic figure in the RH represents the feeling of something churning and growing. The second section consists of booming bass octaves in the LH with the RH playing a two-note slurred figure jumping across three octaves. The piece finally winds down by the end and a pianissimo dynamic depicts a calm ending to the storm.
