This work is one of the most frequently performed choral works during Lent. It was originally composed for Chorus and Orchestra however since few churches are fortunate enough to have an Orchestra at their disposal it became necessary to perform the Orchestral part on the Organ. This Organ Score is a faithful reduction of the Orchestral score and includes the complete choral and solo passages.
