| Bunk G. - Complete Organ Works Vol. VGerard Bunk was one of the greatest organists of the second half of the twentieth century. He developed his own characteristic style, independent of Reger. His organ compositions can be divided into individual freely-composed works, character pieces, choral introductions and six large-scale concert pieces. Volume V presents Bunk’s late organ works, which are comparable in quality to the works of Max Reger and Sigfrid Karg-Elert. Harmonically bold and full of individual style, the works provide one of the earliest examples of late Romantic style before the emergence of the Organ Reform Movement. For this Urtext edition comprehensive source research has been carried out based on the latest musicological findings. Each of the volumes includes a foreword, numerous facsimile pages and illustrations as well as a critical commentary. The complete edition will incorporate six volumes. - Edited by the composer’s grandson - Based on the latest musicological findings - Detailed foreword (Ger/Eng) and critical commentary (Ger/Eng) - Numerous facsimile pages and illustrations Contents - Six Organ Pieces op. 65: No. 1: Stimmungsbild No. 2: Idylle No. 3: Consolation No. 4: Melodie Nr. 5: Trauungszug No. 6: Duo (Canon) - op. 80 - op. 81 • Zur Gesamtausgabe der Orgelwerke von Gerard Bunk • Gerard Bunk - Eine biographische Würdigung • Die Orgelwerke • Preface: • To the Complete Edition of the Organ Works of Gerard Bunk • Gerard Bunk - A Biographical Appreciation • The Organ Works • Photographs: • Gerard Bunk during a recording session for the Westdeutsche Rundfunk AG in St. Reinoldi's, Dortmund (1931) • Front of the Walcker organ in St. Reinoldi’s Church, with the new Rückpositiv (1939) • Gerard Bunk and his daughter in front of the Komponierhütte (composing cabin) in Besenfeld, Black Forest (1936) • Gerard Bunk at his harpsichord (1937) • Specification: St. Reinoldi's Church, Dortmund (1908/09, with the Rückpositiv from 1939) • Facsimiles: • Duo (Canon) in F sharp minor, op. 65, no. 6 (first page of the sketches and of the autograph) • Variations and Fugue for Harpsichord, op. 80 (autograph page; beginning of the finale) • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard Six Organ Pieces, op. 65: Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard No. 1: Tone Picture F minor Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard No. 2: Idyll G major Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard No. 3: Consolation F minor Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard No. 4: Melody B major Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard No. 5: Wedding Procession G major Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard No. 6: Duo (Canon) F sharp minor Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard Variations and Fugue on the Old Dutch Folk Song Merck toch hoe sterck for Harpsichord op. 80 Includes the following individual parts: Cembalo • Composer / Author: Bunk, Gerard Music for Organ C minor op. 81 Includes the following individual parts: Orgel • Kritischer Bericht: • I.
