In this keenly sensitive setting of Psalm 121, Anthony Caesar skillfully combines Gregorian chant with four-part music developed from the chant. This setting is also particularly interesting in its variety of rhythmic patterns, based closely on the text. The organ part is discreet and supportive and the vocal ranges are moderate in scope.
