The Aloha Mass brings the grace and style of Hawaiian music to the mainland with a blend of melodic styles and native instruments indigenious to the Hawaiian Islands. The percussion is written for Bongo and Conga Drums to simulate the myriad kinds of actual native percussion instrumentsfound in Hawaii and the neighboring Samoan Islands. The Ukuleles required are of only two types, the Tenor and Baritone; however, parts have been provided witen for the full range of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone Ukes (Soprano, Alto and Tenor Ukes use the same transposition). The arrangements of additional Hawaiian music have been provided for the Processional, Hawai'i Aloha, Epistle Music, Akahi No, A Hele Pu and Aloha Oe combined with the Hawaiian War Chant for the Recessional These separate arrangement parts and lead sheets are included with the Full Score and Parts.
