This work is part of a series for different chamber and symphonic ensembles. The Retrato V for string quartet is divided in two setions. In the first one the dissonant setcions ineract with the consonants creating a musical linear discourse. As far as the work is concerned, it conludes with a fast and light movement where the clear and festive sonorities predominate. We can clearly distinguish two themes.
