Ice skating comes to mind with the 3/4 meter and bright tempo of this piece. The melody, divided equally between both pianos, uses the C major scale and staccato and legato touches. Written in A-B-A form, the B section begins in A minor before returning to the original key of C major. Both the performers and the audience especially will enjoy the last page where both pianos trade off thematic material in quick succession bringing the piece to a brilliant end. |
