In the late 1950s Mr. Martino was still active as a concert and jazz clarinetist. At that time ,while living in New york he composed a dozen works for a jazz ensemble he was forming. These works, once graced by the all-knowing and unerring fingers of the great Bill Evans have been shelved these many years. One by one they are being released in published versions.
