Latin.
A successful choral arrangement of the second movement from Beethoven's 7th symphony. The music is amazingly simple: a melody is sung first by men, then a countermelody is added by altos and then doubled at the octave by sopranos. Enhanced by the addition of strings and or winds (again doubling the choral parts), the music reflects perfectly the character of the text: "Lord, have mercy."
C instrument and string quartet parts are optional.
Based on second movement of Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op.92. |
