Celebration was written for and dedicated to a promising young musician and leader whose life was needlessly taken by a drunk driver. To capture the spririt of this fine young person, Curnow uses excerpts from the Saint-Saens 'Organ Symphony' in three contrasting variations, An imaginative piece that is inspirational for both players and audiences alike. |
