SSAA, Soprano Solo, Flute, Piano
This setting of the much-loved Psalm 121 is full of variety and color and is an excellent choice for concert or sacred programs. It opens with a flowing flute solo and moves into a rich-sounding 4-voice texture. The choir then repeats a drone (He will not let your foot be moved, He will keep your life) with a soaring soprano solo layered above. The tone of the music moves from a pleading search in G Minor (...from where, will my help come?) to the hopeful answer (He who keeps you will not slumber...) in G Major. Sure to be a favorite for choirs and audiences alike.
