16th Century French Carol
Valerie Stephenson's joyful rendition of the popular French carol is completely played with mallets and includes mallet rolls and stick clicking. The opening and connecting material uses a chromatic scale and thus is a great teaching tool for using all the ringers' bells without having to pick them up to ring or weave. Treble and bass bells both get an opportunity to shine with the melody. This delightful setting makes a great concert opener or encore, as well as an exuberant service or festival piece. | |
