This great chart is recorded (1999) on the Azica CD "Swingin' the Blues." Holman grabs this simple Ellington tune and runs with it. The arrangement is yet another amazing example of Bill Holman's extraordinary arranging skills. There is solo space for tenor saxophone and, of course, trumpet. There is no real need for any extra high trumpet playing. The ensemble "shout" choruses alone are enough reason to put this chart in every jazz band library in the land. You will have a blast with this one.
Solos: Tenor Saxophone and Trumpet.
