Settled in London in 1843; wrote 3 piano trios, a sextet (flute, oboe, horn, cello, contrabass, piano) and quintet for wind and piano; wrote 33 duos for violin and piano in collaboration with the Belgian violinist Charles Auguste de Briot; Sonata (1876) transcribed by the composer in 1892 for the clarinettist Henry Lazarus (1815-1895).
