With a most poetic and meaningful text, "Nets of Love" came to Choristers Guild with rave reviews from Helen Kemp. This setting of Trilby Jordan's poetry by F. Thomas Simpson represents a collaboration of much thoughtfulness. A picture of boats bobbing in the ocean is painted by the movement of the piano accompaniment. The stepwise motion of the melody in a lilting triple meter makes this an exceptional piece for children's voices. |
