Satie wrote these three short, atmospheric pieces originally for piano in 1888. They are all in 3/4 time, sharing a simple, soothing, common theme and gentle in nature. Ralph Sauer has done a beautiful job of arranging these exquisite works for Euphonium and Piano in bass clef. The simplicity of the music is its genius. For moderately advanced performers, each movement is about 2 to 3 minutes in length.
