A grandiose middle section represents the summit. In Farewell to Fall, vibrant colors fade to winter, portrayed by a minor tonality, flowing bass line, and lyrical melody. The state flower is heralded in Flowing Fields of Clover with running sixteenth notes and a syncopated bass. Vermont Maple Syrup pays tribute to the sweet sap that flows in the spring.
