The composition Green Pastures was written for French horn, and was inspired by Psalm 23:2 - He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters.
Green Pastures is dedicated to my sister Nancy Arias of Scottsdale, Arizona. I am truly thankful and abundantly blessed to have her as my sister.
It is my hope that Green Pastures will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used in helping to motivate and encourage their students. |
