A five-movement partita on Johann Cruger's well-known tune. The piece begins with a setting of the chorale, followed by a peaceful aria. The third movement is a delightful trio, followed by a very creative duo that is based on the fourth stanza of the hymn. The piece ends in a fiery fugue. Even though the piece has challenges, it is not overly difficult, and the movements will work well separately. Useful for worship services as well as for recitals.
