After the success of "The Beatitudes" (70/2144L), Roberta Rowland-Raybold has returned to scripture with a set of organ pieces inspired by the Fruit of the Spirit from the book of Galatians. Each "fruit" has inspired an organ piece based on a traditional hymn with a thematic link. The organ pieces can certainly serve as individual voluntaries, though the complete group can also be used for a recital or special church service--proving especially effective if paired with readings, prayers, or poetry. |
