The practising church musician Andreas Pieper knows with heart and soul how to adapt the level of difficulty of his choral compositions to the qualitative possibilities of a committed church choir and create simple, yet tonally beautiful choral settings. Not bound to the church's liturgy, the Marian motet Hymnus von der seligen Jungfrau Maria is based on the text of an unknown poet from the 14th century which invokes the help and protection of Mary.
