This “little musical postcard” composed for the Maîtrise de Radio France Children's Choir during the pandemic is based on a text by Antoine Thiollier. The image of the bridges was self-evident to bring together the isolated members of the Choir. While writing, Antoine Thiollier remembered Rimbaud's “Bridges”; he more or less kept the contrasts and the form, to conceive in his own way a “little philosophical bubble which skids not without malice in the poetic puzzle of the last sentence. A real cul-de-sac that encloses the thought in a circle.” According to Josephine Stephenson, the music for this text flowed almost naturally: In a style that is “a little more pop than I am used to, with a simple electronic accompaniment, whose coldness of sound went well with the current situation in my opinion, and above all left room for the expressiveness of the singers' voices and their words.”.
