Although the piece was written during the ,Maschinen! Musik?!' Festival, it is rather a perversion of machine music. It is ,merciless' (= Gnaden Los) for long stretches ... fast, abrupt, before the piano and percussion suddenly seem to start hammering away at each other and at the public.
