Edicion of Tonades + Berceuse for Lidia - TONADES is a small collection of piano pieces written during December 2003 and January 2004, with a clear didactic aim. I have tried to combine elements from traditional music from the Balearic Islands together with well-known musical forms, using a personal language, typical of the 20th century. The technical demand is that of an intermediate level in music. My main intention was to contribute to and enrich the intermediate level piano repertory, while promoting the knowledge of our own popular roots. The parts that make up Tonades can be performed consecutively, presenting the complete work with variety and unity, or the parts can be played separately. The work is dedicated to all young piano students.
