1. Allegro, 2. Larghetto, 3. Menuetto, 4. Allegro assai
The quartet, written in the style of Haydn, is dedicated to Friedrich Wilhelm II, the King of Prussia, an amateur cellist.
This excellent arrangement by Charles Vernon of the Chicago Symphony for Trombone quartet is about 24 minutes in length and is appropriate for virtuoso performers.
