This driving 12/8 Afro-Cuban chart is an excellent selection to showcase the ensemble and an alto or tenor saxophone soloist. Following the dazzling ensemble introduction, a combo of alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet and (optional) guitar have the statement of the melody with muted brass in the background. A saxophone soli leads to the solo section which begins in swing and then returns to the original feel.
