In his quintet dating from 1993 Heinio draws on Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass. As they play, the members of the quintet go through the dialogue between Alice, Tweedledum and Tweedledee; this adds its own rhythmic and dramatic perspective to the exciting music. The work was premiered at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in summer 1994.
