For a long time John Rutter has been the composer of contemporary music for choirs. His Gloria is world-known and also his Nativity Carol is sung all around the world at Christmas time. A simple melody of great beauty accompanied by perfect chords get you in the true Christmas spirit.
John Rutter (*1945) ist ein englischer Chorleiter und Komponist. Er hat neben Kirchen- und Weihnachtsliedern, einem Klavierkonzert, zwei Kinderopern sowie Musik fürs Fernsehen auch Instrumentalwerke für Ensembles wie das Philip Jones Brass Ensemble und die King’s Singers geschrieben. Klaas van der Woude bearbeitete das wunderschöne, ursprünglich für Chor geschriebene Weihnachtslied Nativity Carol für Brass Band.
