In the southern hemisphere directly above the tropic of Capricorn lies an inconspicuous constellation called Capricornus. One of the constellations of the zodiac, Capricornus is also known as the Sea Goat, and has been depicted from earliest times as a figure whose upper half resembles a goat and whose lower half resembles the tail of a fish.
