High Voltage is an especially energetic composition in the big band style. The blaring brass and the ornate interplay of the woodwinds lend this work great character and conviction. In the second half of the piece two solos are played: firstlythe tenor saxophone (alternatively alto saxophone), followed by a virtuoso variation in the trombone (alternatively baritone euphonium).
High Voltage is een energieke compositie in bigbandstijl. De schittering van het koper en het kunstige spel in het hout geven dit dynamische werk veel karakter en overtuigingskracht. Halverwege het werk worden er twee solo’s gespeeld: eerst isde tenorsaxofoon (of altsaxofoon) aan de beurt, waarna er een virtuoze variatie in de trombone (of bariton/euphonium) volgt.
High Voltage ist eine ganz besonders energiereiche Komposition im Bigband-Stil. Schmetterndes Blech und kunstvolles Spiel der Holzbläser verleihen diesem dynamischen Werk viel Charakter und Überzeugungskraft. Nach der Hälfte des Werkes werdenzwei Soli gespielt: Zuerst ist das Tenorsaxophon (alternativ Altsaxophon) an der Reihe, gefolgt von einer virtuosen Variation in der Posaune (alternativ Bariton-Euphonium).
High Voltage est écrite dans le style jazz la manière dune œuvre pour Big Band. Énergique gr ce son tempo swinguant, on pourra entendre l´éclat des cuivres et l’habileté des bois dans cette pièce dynamique, pleine de caractère et dedétermination. Au centre de la composition, deux chorus écrits sont interprétés par le saxophone ténor puis le trombone, dans une variation exprimant virtuosité et fluidité.
High Voltage è un brano scritto nello stile jazz, simile alla scrittura che caratterizza un brano per big band. Energico grazie al suo tempo molto swing, si contraddistingue per l’importante ruolo rivestito dagli ottoni e l’abilit dei legni.Un brano dinamico, di forte personalit . Al centro della composizione, due assoli scritti sono interpretati dal sax tenore ed in seguito dal trombone, in una variazione piena di virtuosit .
