The sonata was composed in 2012. Its subtitle A Midsummer Day's Dream, has no direct association with Shakespeare’s images, although its musical fabric distinctly expresses baroque, classical, and romantic elements, as well as typical English themes. Collectively, these features bring the sonata closer to the fantasy genre, without disturbing the sensation of the sound’s contemporaneity.
