Doble O Nada

Doble o Nada was a commission from trumpet players Lluis Andres and Vicent Alberola for their album Tompetes to Vent, recorded in 2012. On the recording they are accompanied by the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta conducted by Ferrer Ferran.

To contrast with the general tone of the disc, Lluis and Vicent wanted a ballad, into which I inserted a delicate waltz. Complete with two cadenzas, the piece is very audience friendly, both for its melodies and its simplicity in form. Doble o Nada is dedicated to my friends Lluis Andres and Vicent Alberola.
