Soprano saxophone and piano SKU: P2.50013
Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Arranged by Lori Ardovino. Solo music, Baroque. Published by Potenza Music (P2.50013). Georg Phillip Telemann's only concerto for trumpet, the Concerto in D major for trumpet, violins, and basso continuo (TWV 51:D7), was composed sometime between 1710 and 1720. This is Telemann's only work for written for trumpet in his vast repertoire. Telemann uses sonata da chiesa, with its four-movement, slow-fast-slow-fast plan, for his concerto. Originally for trumpet, strings and continuo, this work has been transcribed for performance on the soprano saxophone (or clarinet) and piano.
