The Tip of the Sword was composed for the Capital University Trombone Choir for their annual tour in 2004. This short composition shows off the trombone ensemble's ability to play with driving intensity during soft sections and with great power during the louder, Wagnerian sections. The work is as exciting for the performers as it is for the audience.
